Sunday 16th – 24th – Captains California Bike Ride

Raising funds for Velindre Cancer Centre Stepping Stones Appeal.

Our own Velindre Ambassador, Town & Country Hotel’s MD Julian Hitchcock and his team “The Bear Back Riders” will take on a 390km bike ride from the stunning Yosemite National Park to San Francisco. Led by 3 Welsh Rugby Captains, Jonathan Davies, Martyn Williams and Mike Hall they’ll be finishing the ride by crossing the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

Town and Country Catering – appointed to serve lunch for the Queen

Town and Country Catering headed by Stephen Banks and team were delighted to cater for The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh on their recent Diamond Jubilee tour of Wales at the Orangery Margam on Thursday 26^th April 2012.

150 invited guests including AM’s, councillors, celebrities plus the Wales Rugby Grand Slam winning team enjoyed a canapé reception with Laurent Perrier Champagne followed by:

A Sewin & Smoked Salmon Mousse served with a tomato & sweet pepper chutney

Cannon of Welsh Lamb served with a fondant potato, a quenelle of mint pea puree & finished with red wine reduction jus

Coffee or Tea, served with Merlin Liqueur Fudge & miniature Welsh Cakes

Town and Country Catering was established in 1992 and is run by Director Stephen Banks of the prestigious 4 star New House Country Hotel Cardiff. Each of the Town & Country Hotel Group assisted with staff and chef’s from the Bear Hotel, Cowbridge, Coed-y-Mwstwr Hotel, Bridgend and the Oscars Restaurants in Cowbridge and Cardiff assisting the team of Town & Country Catering.

Stephen Banks commented ‘the team and I feel privileged to have been appointed as the caterers for this prestigious event. As part of the Town and Country Hotels group, we have over 20 years of experience and have catered for many different types of events. This however, has been the pinnacle of all our hard work’.
